My Saphe does not connect automatically - Huawei

If your Saphe does not automatically connect to your Huawei phone or loses the connection again, it is most likely due to your phone's apps management. Therefore, make sure that the Saphe Link app is managed manually for power and not automatically. To do so, you must do this:

  • Go to Settings on the phone
  • Tap Battery
  • Tap App Launch or Launch (it's different on different models)
  • Tap Saphe Link
  • A small menu will pop up with 3 other settings. Please make sure all 3 are activated.
  • Tap OK
  • In the list of apps, under Saphe Link, it will now say Manage manually

Be aware that Bluetooth, mobile data and location must be enabled. At the same time, neither performance mode (found on some Huawei models) nor powersaving mode must be enabled.

Also make sure that the phone is set to stay connected when the device is on standby. See the instructions here: Huawei loses connection when the screen is off
